Maximizing your results in the gym does have a science to it. The timing of when you eat certain foods, the quantities, and the types of food all play a role and can definitely give you an edge when working toward your goal of getting stronger, leaner, and feeling badass in your body....but honestly, I want you to skip this week's vlog if you aren't currently CONSISTENTLY eating quality protein, carbohydrates, fats, and fruits and vegetables on a regular basis.
Why? Because it is so important to have a solid foundation of nutrition and solid nutrition habits before complicating the nutrition equation even further with nutrient timing, macronutrient ratios, and supplements. Improving the quality of the foods you consume on a daily basis FIRST will get you results. Once you get that down, then I'd like you to revisit this video : ) It's all out of love I promise! We're playing the long game here!
I also want to save you the unnecessary headache of worrying so much about your pre, intra, and post-workout meals before it's even necessary. I often worried about the wrong things at the wrong times during my fitness journey, and it just made things more complicated than they needed to be. Let's try and keep things as simple as possible!
Now that I've given you every reason NOT to watch this week's fit vlog episode (LOL!), check it out if you'd like to dive a little bit further into the world of exercise nutrition! Even if you're not quite at this stage yet with your nutrition, it can definitely teach you a few things for when the time does come to start considering exercise nutrition factors.
I hope you enjoy! Please comment below any questions you have about exercise nutrition OR nutrition in general!
